Significant growth of prepaid
card program for IBM Reseller Cash Redemptions
London 24AUG09 - Almost 24 months after the launch of the IBM
Reseller Prepaid Card Cash Redemption program, CCS UK Ltd is
pleased to announce that the program has grown from strength to
strength with a significant rise in card issuance and loading
activity over the course of the last six months. The card
program was initially launched in October 2007 as
global customer club incentive program structured as a
traditional loyalty program where business partners of IBM are awarded points for selling products which they can
redeem for rewards. A major segment of the resellers prefer to
redeem their points for a cash reward which is then disbursed
onto their prepaid card.
The initial program launched in 2007 utilized a re-loadable card
across four currency platforms (GBP, USD, EUR, AUD). In 2009 due
to the demand for payouts across other global territories, the
program has grown to incorporate prepaid cards that can also be
issued in Swedish Krone and Canadian Dollars and the program now
incorporates the addition of a gift card scheme where the card
can be reloaded up to a maximum of three times. A major segment
of the program's success is the solution being based on a strong
Visa and MasterCard international issuing banking partner whose
appetite is mainly for globally orientated disbursement projects
rather than being limited to the domestic market of their
jurisdiction.
