Provisional approval for new card payment platform for Major
West African Bank
London 05JAN07 - After a joint presentation between CCS UK
Ltd (CCS) and its processing partner, Electra Card Services, the
executive committee of one of Africa's largest banking
institutions have given provisional approval for dialogue to
move towards contractual agreements for the implementation of a
new issuing payment platform. This initiative will be a prelude
to a significant marketing strategy to increase market share of
the debit card space within the banks region. The new payment
platform will facilitate additional revenue growth through the
deployment of an advanced transaction acquiring and switching
EFT infrastructure as well as the provision of local currency
debit cards which can be used both domestically and globally.
CCS
led by Mark McDonald, Managing Director and Jack Chang, Advisory
Business Development Director will focus on providing program
management and marshalling adjunct resources (card production,
ATM, POS terminals, telecom providers) etc whilst Electra Card
Services will provide processing services, payment system
infrastructure and implementation resources.

institutions in the region are rapidly positioning significant
investments, to maximize on new market growth opportunities
brought through the demand for electronic payment services in
the region and continual strengthening of the internet and ATM
backbone across both metropolis and rural areas.
